In a series of self-narrated vignettes, gay poet-librarian Lucile ushers us into the vibrant instability of her world, where, as a sufferer from manic depression, she struggles with the effects her medications have on her ability to create art and find love.

Director Statement

Narrated through vignettes into the vibrant life of gay poet and Oxford librarian Lucile, my film is my personal uncensored contribution against gay discrimination and the social stigma attached to mental illness. Oscillating between tragedy and comedy, I hope to promote dialogue amongst sufferers of manic depression and invite the viewer to question prejudice against gay minorities and people with bipolar disorder.
